I had being buying shackets like this from other brands, and decided to try Ariat.The other brands look nice at first; however, it quickly fades. The flannel material on them folds and just gets old looking, fairly quickly.Upon opening this one, I immediately noticed that it is a significant step up in quality. While it is roughly 50% more expensive, I can instantly tell it is going to last longer than the other brands I have tried. It just feels more heavy duty and comfortable.As for the size, it is perfect. It is true to size if you are used to typical American sizes. If you are going off of other brands, you might want to size down.On thing that really stands out to me versus other brands is the buttons. They are actual buttons and not snap buttons. This alone is huge as you don't have to worry about the snap wearing out.The only downside for me is that I live in California and it doesn't really get that cold. This is warmer than other brands and so I easily get hot wearing it. That's our climate's fault and not the shirt.I definitely would recommend it! I love it!
